In Our Communities

In his parables, Jesus makes it clear that we are to be an active part of God's restoration of the world. We believe that our part in this great restoration project is most effectively done close to home, where real-world needs are present, but not always visible.

Particularly, Jesus makes clear that we are to serve those who are downtrodden, poor, or in other ways viewed by the world as "less than." In that interaction, God's beautiful reversal happens where those who have enough are blessed by sharing with those who do not.

Below you will find information about some of the ways we endeavor to follow God's lead in caring for those whose needs are present, but not always visible.

Ways We Help Locally

Local Food Pantries

Habitat for Humanity - Part of our Sunday School offerings are donated to Habitat for Humanity and we also participate in builds throughout the year.

Panera Bread's Day End Doughnation - The third Sunday of every month we pick up and bag goodies from Panera.  We take a free will offering to help a different organization every month.

Washington County Humane Society - We collect almost empty plastic peanut butter jars as treats for the dogs.

Ronald McDonald House - We collect pop tops to give to the Ronal McDonald House.

Crossroads Music Fest - An annual music event we sponsor.

Operation InAsMuch

"And the king will answer them, “Truly I tell you, in as much as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.” (Matthew 25:40)

Operation InAsMuch is a national program that intentionally gets churches outside their own walls to walk with the neighborhoods around them, and the real-world needs that are there.
