Dinner Church

Dinner Church is a new event that will begin this summer on Tuesday, June 14 at 6:00pm. It will consistently take place the second Tuesday of the Month. It's worship the way the early Church did it! Bring a potluck dish...anything, from your favorite casserole, to a rotisserie chicken from Piggly Wiggly, to a dessert, or a beverage to share. We will enjoy discussion on the Word of God, partake of Holy Communion, share our prayer concerns, and enjoy Christian Fellowship.

We plan to meet outside over summer, and in the basement or narthex during poor weather and winter.

First Communion Training:

On June 25, 9-11am, an all ages First Communion Class will take place. Please see Facebook or contact office to register. First Communion will be celebrated during the worship service on June 26.

New Member class

St. Luke is growing! On Sunday, June 12, at approximately 10:45AM, there will be a new member class for those who would like to join St. Luke.

Bring your spiritual marshmallows...we're having a bonfire! On Wednesday, June 22 at 7pm we'll be hosting a bonfire complete with s'mores fixings; graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate will be provided. Bring a lawn chair and drink of choice. If you'd like to donate any wood, feel free to drop it off by the fire pit anytime prior to June 22nd.

Vacation Bible School

August 1-5 VBS RETURNS to St. Luke and it is a program that is perfect for us! It is called "Make Waves," and it will help our elementary age students to learn about how big of an impact God is making in this world through them.

We need all sorts of help, and really hope that you can help us plan and teach such a formative faith experience for the children in our community. It is going to be very fun! If teens are looking for volunteer hours over the summer, this is a great way to earn them.

When: August 1-5, 9am-12pm

Ages: Entering 1st Grade to Completing 5th Grade

Cost: FREE!

Church camp

Church Camp has been a foundational experience in the faith formation of many children. At St. Luke, we encourage you to send you children to camp, so that they can grow deeper into the baptismal promise of living in the Christian Community of God's faithful people. At camp, they will create deep bonds and better learn who God is making them to be. I know this from personal experience, and would encourage you to watch the short video here about how important camp was for me as a child.

animal blessing

Please join us on Sunday, August, 21 for our day of Animal Blessings. From large to small, bring them all!
